Jimmy Stewart

District Chief – C Shift

Jimmy Stewart became a District Chief at Spring Fire Department in 2015. Prior to his time with Spring, Jimmy was a TREC Home inspector for 15 years. When Jimmy was younger, he wanted to be an architect so he explored his passion for building as a construction contractor.

Jimmy’s fire certifications include advanced firefighter, Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor III, Haz-Mat Tech, Driver/Operator and Field Examiner. He is also a fitness and wellness coach and on any given day, Jimmy can be found in a station gym encouraging members of the staff towards their fitness goals.

Despite the stress of his job, Jimmy always has a positive attitude, because he follows Charles Swindoll’s advice “Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I respond to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes.” In all his 30 years in the fire service, Jimmy says he has had so many good times he cannot pick a favorite.

In his free time, Jimmy stays very active from training in the gym to hiking in the mountains. As a Dallas Fort Worth native, Jimmy still roots for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. He also loves spending time with his wife, Crystal, children and grandchild.
