The Spring Fire Department believes it is paramount that firefighters have the best training to do the job, but are also ‘in the know’ within the department. Over the past week, all firefighters have been attending meetings that include a review of the 2019 Budget and the department’s plans for the year.

On Saturday, Spring firefighters’ family and friends gathered at Station 71 to witness the badge pinning of one new captain, one new apparatus operator, one new volunteer firefighter and 13 new full-time firefighters.

Early Thursday afternoon, the train carrying the former President will roll through Spring en route to President George H.W. Bush’s final resting place at his presidential library at Texas A&M University. The Spring Fire Department Honor Guard and firefighters will pay tribute along the train’s path.
