Careers at Spring Fire Department

We are a combination fire department and have 67 full-time firefighters, 42 part-time firefighters and 95 volunteer firefighters on staff.

We began with 8 Full-time firefighters on April 1, 2013 and in just 5 short years we have added 59 additional firefighters.  There are advancement opportunities including Apparatus Operator, Captain, and Shift Commander and we are constantly adding new firefighters to staff additional stations as funding allows.

We hired 12 full-time firefighters and 6 part-time firefighters that started on April 8, 2018.  We are not currently hiring any additional full-time or part-time firefighters but expect to have another job posting in late 2018 or early 2019.  Please check back here and the Jobs section of the Texas Commission on Fire Protection website.
